I am a professional singer/-songwriter who studied music and german in Frankfurt. Since finishing my studies in 2019 I work as a freelance musician and artist: playing piano, acoustic and electric guitar, writing songs for my band Romie, furthermore playing at weddings, birthdays and working as a professional studio singer.
Writing songs and composing music is like therapy to me, taking an emotion and transforming it into a song or a melody, so it can not harm me anymore but it is still existing in the form of music. Music is one of the strongest ways to release my stress and emotions. I started writing my own songs when I was around 16 years old but never showed them to anyone until I met my band mate Julia Embers with whom I started my band ROMIE (Singer/Songwriter/Indie/Folk) in 2013. By now we have released an EP and our debut album TRUST IN THE YOU OF NOW (recorded in the north or ireland) and we play many live shows. We have opened the shows for well known artists like Alice Phoebe Lou and Mighty Oaks. Our musical family has grown with our backing band SAFE HAVEN and our string quartett. This summer '23 we will work on our second album.
Beside my love of folk and singer/-songwriter music I also love to sing jazz. My pianist Aaron Poellet and I have started a new project to sing at weddings and dinner events. I offer singing and playing guitar at weddings solo or as a duo with Julia Embers, also possible in addition with violin or cello. I couldn't imagine a better job than turning your special day or evening into something magical by simply doing what I love most in the world: singing.
